1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Many people have this concept of the rapture as being just wishful thinking and quite ridiculous. However, the word of God emphasizes studying to show thyself approved according to 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV. This can be quite the debate for many. Others have a theory that the rapture will be pre-trib, mid-trib, or for some not even a rapture at all. Is there a Rapture? Yes. The debating is simply just foolishness seeing you can leave the earth before it even occurs. Why debate, when you can seek God for answers?
Another debate people wage war over is the rapture not being in the Bible, well the bible isn't in the bible either but we hold fast to the Bible's teachings and refer to it as the bible. Let's break the concept of the rapture down following scripture. The Greek word from this term “rapture” is derived and appears in 1 Thessalonians 4:17, translated as “caught up.” The Latin translation of this verse used the word rapturo. The Greek word translates to harpazo, which means to snatch or take away. Now that we have established the rapture concept we will go a little further.
These days there is a lot of talk about aliens and UFOs. Aliens are nothing other than falling angels or rather demons. Well the Lord showed me there will be a rapture that will take place. The closer we arrive to the rapture the more talk and hype about aliens in Hollywood movies, entertainment, video games, etc. We have been conditioned since youth about these so-called aliens from another planet that thrive on abducting humans. Well, the truth is Jesus is going to abduct his bride and keep us from the hour of temptation according to scripture.
I would like for you to meditate on a few questions and scripture, for the non-rapture believers.
Were there any of God's people ever caught up in biblical times?
Answer: YES
1. Paul was caught up to the 3 RD Heavens according to 2 Corinthians 12: 2-5
2. John was caught up in the book of Revelation according to Revelation 4:1-5
3. The two prophets that had the power to shut up the heavens in Revelation 11:12
The Bible reads for there is no respect of persons with God meaning he doesn't care who you are he remains the same. if God did it for these four why wouldn't he do it for his church? Romans 2:11-16 Hebrews 13:8 KJV
If the church is to go through the Tribulation whose wrath is poured out on the earth in the book of Revelation, is it God's wrath or Satan's wrath?
Answer: God's wrath was found in the scripture below
REVELATION 16:1, REVELATION 3:10, REVELATION 11:18 REVELATION 6:17 KJV GOD'S WRATH
The infallible word of God states clearly God will deliver us from the wrath to come in the passages below. Please meditate and pray and asked God for answers.
1 Thessalonians 1:9-10
10 And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.
Revelation 3:10
10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
1 Corinthians 15:51-52
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1 Corinthians 15:53
53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1 Thessalonians 4:17-18
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words
1 Thessalonians 5:1-4
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
Paul says the Church is not destined for wrath, which begs the question of who is destined for the wrath of Tribulation? The answer came in the earlier verses when Paul says that the unsuspecting world will be the intended target, which principally refers to unbelieving Israel. As mentioned above, Tribulation is a time of judgment intended for the Jewish nation and the Unbelieving World, but the Church will escape this time because Christ collects the Church from the Earth and escorts His Bride away before the coming judgment.
Paul's main point in 1Cor 15 is to demonstrate the truth of the resurrection and the need for a new "incorruptible" body before men can enter into the heavenly realm. As he teaches on this point, Paul introduces a "mystery," a hidden truth that God is now unveiling through Paul's writing.
The mystery Paul revealed in this passage was that not every Christian will experience physical death (i.e., "sleep") before they receive their new, incorruptible body. Though most Christians will experience a physical death before the resurrection of the righteous, some Christians will still be living when the moment of resurrection takes place.
Paul then says that in a moment (in Greek, the phrase literally means "an atom of time"), the dead are raised into their new bodies and the living are "changed." The Greek word is allasso, which means an exchange of one thing for another.
Paul is teaching that at the moment of the resurrection for all saints, any believers who are still alive at that moment will instantly exchange their present body for a new body. The exchange for a new incorruptible form is necessary because we are immediately escorted into Heaven with the Lord.
This is the same Rapture Paul described in 1Thess, and it is a moment the Church has expected and longed for since Paul wrote these words. The rapture (resurrection) of the Church occurs prior to the Tribulation and is intended to remove the saints prior to the Lord returning His attention to the sins of Israel and Her disobedience under the Old Covenant.
