The Spiritual Warfare Battle
How do we know that there is a spiritual realm? If we cannot see it, should we believe in it? Many believers and unbelievers today do not want to “deal” with a world we cannot see when the world we do see is hard enough to “deal” with. Before we can discuss the spiritual battle, we have to believe in the spiritual realm. We have a tendency to hear not and see not because of the fear of being unplugged from the lie and being plugged with the truth and the truth is this world is a stage. Just because we cannot see the spiritual realm does not mean it is not there.
However, if we choose to ignore or not believe in the spiritual realm, we will find ourselves confused, frustrated, and quenching the peace that God has promised to each of us. The best defense is a strong offense. Just educating ourselves about the spiritual realm is half the fight and God gives us everything else we need to be victorious with the other half.
Question 1: What words used in the verses below describe the spiritual realm and its invisible components? Nehemiah 9:6 Luke 2:13-15 Ephesians 6:12 Colossians 1:15-16 KJV
According to Hebrews 11:3, what is required for us to believe?
We all have an innate sense that there is more than what the eye can see. However, since we do not see it, we often fail to believe in it. If we do not believe in it, then we cannot be aware of all that is going on, for and against us. Whether we choose to believe in the existence of spiritual beings and places does not change the fact of their existence and their activities. Let’s step back a minute to assess what we do believe. As Christians, it took faith to believe in Jesus Christ. We cannot see Him but we believe that He died on the cross for our sins. We believe that God raised Him from the dead and we believe that He alone is the source of our eternal salvation.
All those beliefs are not physically seen by us today. We believe Jesus accomplished these things in the spiritual realm when He lived in the physical realm on earth. We know that we, too, need to believe in this physical realm to be welcomed into His spiritual realm. Thus, it is faith that confirms to our hearts that we will be going to a very real place called heaven someday. The Bible is filled with references to the heavenly realm or a place that is invisible to our eyes physically today, yet very real in its existence. We believe with the eyes of our heart, instead of with the eyes in our head. There have been others who were able to see with their physical eyes into the spiritual realm.
Question 2: From the following Biblical examples, describe the scene. What is taking place in each situation? 2 Kings 6:11-17 Daniel 10:7-17 KJV
The stories above represent two different scenarios of activity that are taking place in the invisible realm around us. God allowed these men to bridge the gap in the physical realm to see into the spiritual realm. The Lord opened the eyes of Elisha's servant to see the host of God's army. His spiritual eyes were opened to see into the spiritual warfare around him. And only Daniel saw the angel standing before him as everyone else felt the "terror" and fled from the scene. Daniel was granted access to see, hear and speak spiritually, as he could communicate with the angel.
These examples clearly demonstrate the workings of an invisible spiritual realm around us. The Lord is with us and provides for us through His angels as He chooses. The Lord loves us and protects us physically as He works it out spiritually. However, we must be extremely careful not delving into this place with the wrong motives. The Bible explicitly warns against the practice of spiritual fascination's. Just as the agents of God exist in this invisible place, so do the agents of Satan. The demonic forces want to lure us into their deceptions of power and supernatural activities. Witchcraft, horoscopes, and psychic phenomenon can seem innocent on the surface yet are a dangerous influence causing great harm to those who get involved.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil
In general, witches or wizards today can be defined in many different ways: someone who actively practices magic, white magic, black magic, voodoo, manifesting, cursing, love spells, chanting, magical rituals spell, and someone who has a spiritual connection with spiritual wickedness in high places, such as a psychic medium, demonic forces, contacting ancestors, a tarot reader, or someone who worships the Pagan gods, etc...
Here are a few verses in the word of God that restricts the body of christ to engage in such activities.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18 Exodus 22:18 Deuteronomy 18:10 Leviticus 20:27 1 Samuel 15:23
The reality of what it means to be a witch today carries many traditions of the Pagan religion; something which was previously proved to be tied to the devil or satanic rituals.
Modern-day witchcraft often includes the lighting of candles, meditation, yoga, incense, the smudging of sage, crystals, dream analysis, manifesting, speaking to the dead, and other rituals connected to Pagan roots.
However, witchcraft is simply about using the power of the universe i.e satan and the mind to attract wants and sinful desires that God has not ordained. It’s about being in tune with Earth’s natural resources i.e demons and using them to mystically quench a spiritual thirst that eventually leads you to hell. These works can be done knowingly or unknowingly which is still an abomination to GOD Almighty.
In Hosea 4:6, God states clearly my people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. i.e meaning we die from ignorance.
Proverbs 14:12
12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
The Bible makes it clear that Satan was the most beautiful and powerful being ever created. He was the supreme archangel, No red suits, pitchforks, or horns for this devil – he was created beautifully and this is where the deception takes place.
Satan was also the first worship leader, this just confirms how and why music can be so powerful. Do you truly believe that Satan would leave out gospel music as part of his scheme to deceive? Let's take a look at gospel musician, Kirk Franklin featuring on Kanye's album. Kanye is hanging from a cross on his album cover at the time, Kanye also rewrote his version of the holy bible removing Gods name and replacing God with Yezus which lokey stands for a deceptive Jesus.
Now we know in Amos 3:3 that God tells us two can't walk together unless they're in agreement so might they serve the same god perhaps?
The Bible also states in Deuteronomy 4:2 don't take or add to my word and Kanye did just that claiming to walk with the Lord, can you see the deception yet? Not to mention Hillsong and Lecrae and their wicked deception. Jesus said many will come in my name. If you are unable to see the deception ask God to give you the spiritual see and hear.
Lets get more into who this devil was in music. Satan, Ezekiel 28:13 has a phrase that is very interesting: "the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created." That is, he was created with tabrets and pipes built in him. What would this refer to? Tabrets (spelled taborets in modern English) are small drums like those used to beat out timing for a fife player. Pipes probably refer to tubes used to produce tones by blowing air through them, as in an organ. This shows us that the devil had the makings of percussion instruments and wind instruments built into his very being.
In Ezekiel 28:14, he is called the "anointed cherub that covereth." In Ezekiel 10:1-22, there are four cherubim who stand at the four corners of the throne of God. Since "the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub" (Ezekiel 10:4), the cherubim were there to give glory
and praise to the Lord. But here we see no cherub covering the throne. That had been the job of Satan as the anointed cherub that covered. He would be the fifth cherub and his job would have been to glorify God. It is interesting that the most powerful of God's heavenly creatures is the one who most prominently gives glory and praise to God. In one sense, therefore, Satan was the heavenly choir director and he led the songs of praise to the Lord that still ring in heaven. The inbuilt tabrets and pipes would definitely come in handy here.
Now, when Satan fell in rebellion against God, he did not lose the natural abilities that God had given him. Therefore, he kept the tabrets and the pipes. But now, he did not use them to bring glory to the Lord but to turn God's creatures against their Creator. His expertise is seen in the powerful influence he welds today in music. He knows his music and he hates the Lord. This is a dangerous combination. Pay attention to the music that's playing in the home or the vehicle. A lot of music thrives at repetition, such as Beyonce's you won't break my soul playing over and over again planting seeds in the mind. The soul is meant to be broken by God so we may walk in the spirit of God.
